Print VAC
The Printmaking VAC was led by Anne-Marie Keavney, post-grad tutor at NCAD. The sessions focused on line and composition through lino block printing methods. Student teachers created a series of lino prints using the reduction print technique. They also used chin collé, a mathod of adding layers of paper to the print. The module was succesful as an intermediate introduction to lino printing, applicable to the post-primary classroom.

Special Education
Andrea is passionate about working with individuals with special education needs and is an advocate for inclusive approaches in her teaching practice. Andrea has experience teaching teens and adults with additional learning needs, and works on a weekly basis as a volunteer art & craft teacher with the Ranbow Arch 13+ Club. The teacher recognises the importance of differentiated teaching to suit all learning styles and makes a conscious effort to accomodate all her students in her planning.

Special education needs (SEN) students are defined as learners "who have either an identified disability, intellectual, sensory, physical, or emotional need, or indeed a combination of these, that restricts or requires extra support in order to gain access to education"
(Jenkinson, 1997, p. 13).
