Print VAC
The Printmaking VAC was led by Anne-Marie Keavney, post-grad tutor at NCAD. The sessions focused on line and composition through lino block printing methods. Student teachers created a series of lino prints using the reduction print technique. They also used chin collé, a mathod of adding layers of paper to the print. The module was succesful as an intermediate introduction to lino printing, applicable to the post-primary classroom.

Andrea has two years experience teaching at further education level at Cóláiste Ide College of Further Education,CDETB. While working at there, Andrea taught a variety of modules across five courses, listed below.The teacher particularly enjoyed having the opportunity to work with special education needs students from Headway Ireland. Andrea has experience of QQI assessment procedures and the internal and external verification processes associated with grading the award.
The fashion and art portfolio courses provide the learner with a strong grounding in drawing and design skills for entry into third-level institutions. The college have a high progression rate to third level.Learners are introduced to the textiles and fashion disciplines of combined materials, embroidery, garment construction and pattern drafting as well as developing their art practice in a wide range of visual and artistic skills.
