Print VAC
The Printmaking VAC was led by Anne-Marie Keavney, post-grad tutor at NCAD. The sessions focused on line and composition through lino block printing methods. Student teachers created a series of lino prints using the reduction print technique. They also used chin collé, a mathod of adding layers of paper to the print. The module was succesful as an intermediate introduction to lino printing, applicable to the post-primary classroom.

3D Construction
VAC
The 3D construction VAC was led by Tony Murphy, post-grad tutor at NCAD. The theme of the project was 'The Tool Board', where students chose a tool to recreate using the medium of cardboard. The sessions focused examining the shape and form of the object to reproduce it in a larger scale. Student teachers created a series of research drawings and 2D studies of their object to help them break the object into parts. Sections of the object were constructed using various cardboard construction methods, such as scoring folding and creating tabs. The VAC overall was successful in it's ability to demonstrate 3D construction and the importance of analytical and observational drawing to move from 2D shape to 3D form.
